James Stanner

Reason in Logbook:
An engineering student in 1930's California…and other times
Interesting Details:
A freak accident when he was visiting the 1939 New York World's Fair, which happened to involve a time machine, sent him back to 1891 where he met Nikola Tesla. James started experimenting with the older technology and became the “Tesla Ranger” for California. After a few years, he desperately wanted to return to his own time. So Tesla tried to send James forward to 1939, but only got him as far as 1915. After drawing so much attention to himself in the 1890's, James decided to keep a lower profile while still investigating with older technology. He traveled to the 1915 Pan American exposition in San Diego, exhibiting a new high tech camera he invented with the hope of attracting investors to eventually making enough money to build a time machine to get him the rest of the way home.
